Faithful Advocate Announces a New and Urgent Campaign to Save the Traditional Latin Mass

A Nationwide Letter-writing Campaign to the Holy Father

A National Movement

inspired by the recent events in the Diocese of Charlotte and the Archdiocese of Detroit

With numerous parishes already participating, Faithful Advocate is inviting parishes nationwide to participate in a Letter-Writing Campaign to the Holy Father, asking him to abrogate Traditionis Custodes and protect the Sacred Liturgy worldwide.

THIS WEEK!

The goal is:

by or before June 23rd,

parishes collect letters to the Holy Father and ship them to Rome.

The cost would be high for individuals, but if the Faithful group their letters together, it becomes much more affordable. If parishes announce the Campaign this week, with a preferred collection by or on Sunday, June 22nd, this would be ideal. Parishes should be ready to ship letters after this date as well, as parishioners will continue to bring them in. From an analysis, DHL appears to be the best option, especially when “documents” is the selected item being shipped.

If pastors are not willing to coordinate and announce this campaign at their parishes, for reasons which are often understandable, the Faithful can adopt this mission and fulfill it by their own efforts and organization.

There is a desire to have the letters arrive in Rome by June 27th, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. If these packages are shipped by June 23rd, the Vigil of St. John the Baptist, it is very reasonable to expect their timely arrival.

There are many signs of Divine Providence in the timing of this idea and of the desired arrival date. We can be assured that Our Lord, in the mercy of His Most Sacred Heart, and St. John the Baptist, the greatest of all prophets, will assist us in fulfilling this mission.

A sample letter to the Holy Father is provided on this page. It is available as a PDF which can be printed and signed. It is also posted as plain text which can be copied and personalized as desired. Mention can be made, in the letter, about the Bishop of the Diocese of Saginaw, who is allowing the Traditional Latin Mass to continue while he awaits an answer from Rome on an extension. Further, Cardinal Raymond Burke announced that he has spoken to Pope Leo about the situation surrounding the Traditional Latin Mass. His Eminence also expressed his hope that the Holy Father would “restore the situation to as it was after Summorum Pontificum” under Pope Benedict.

How to Write to the Holy Father

Speak to your Pastor and encourage him to support and announce this Campaign to the whole parish.

Work together within your own parish to get this movement moving forward.

Keep track of how many letters are being mailed and report them to Faithful Advocate

Parishes could consider printing the sample letter and having those ready for parishioners to read and sign this Sunday after an announcement about the Campaign. That would make the announcement, the letter-writing, and the collection of letters very easy.
